Welcome to Basic Training. Grounded. After reading the first chapter, you may do one of the following things. You will either think, what a load of tosh, and sling it in the bin or send it back for a refund. Or, if you have read the first book in the series (Basic Training. Flying by the seat of his pants), you’ll want to read it just to see how much more warped the author's mind really is. And if you get to the end of it, you’ll either think, what a clever author. Or maybe wonder if it was written by someone who resides in a secure-mental-institutes?
Maybe I do? Ha-ha-ha.
Anyway, you may recall? Messed-up and bone-idle Teenager Ben Baxter in desperation, decided to join the British army. The parachute Regiment to be more precise. And not believing him capable of such a mammoth feat of passing the arduous training course, he was followed by a very curious and clever fly, who had been residing in Ben’s flee-pit of a bedroom for a few days previous.
The twenty-three-week journey of discovery went well until just as the fly was about to be proved wrong at Ben’s passing off parade the curious fly was swatted by a visiting General.
This book picks up where the last one ended, hence why it’s book two in the Basic Training series.
Finally, some of you readers might find the above a little patronising? To you, I say get used to it or get a refund
